Chetan Bhagat Joins Hands with Star News to Judge Star Anchor Hunt

Chetan Bhagat author of four blockbuster novels will judge the Star Anchor Hunt. Their second Judge is a prominent actress who has worked in theatre, television and movies. Deepak Chaurasia one of the smartest political minds in Indian television is going to be the third judge.

Mumbai, India, March 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Star News, the leading news channel in India, has launched a reality show called Star Anchor Hunt. This is the first time in India that a reality show will be hosted by a news channel. Chetan Bhagat, Tisca Chopra and Deepak Chaurasia will join hands with Star News in its search for the best News talent in the country, and the winners, one male and one female, will get a chance to be a TV News Anchor with Star News.

Chetan Bhagat the author of four blockbuster novels , Five Point Someone (2004), One Night @ the Call Center (2005), The 3 Mistakes of life (2008) and 2 states-the story of my marriage (2009) will be judging the contestants. All his books have remained bestsellers since their release and have inspired major Bollywood films.

Tisca Chopra is an actress who has worked in theatre, television and movies will be the other prominent judge. In 2007, she appeared in the much acclaimed Taare Zameen Par with Aamir Khan. She also works with the National Knowledge Commission (NKC), a high level advisory body to the Prime Minister of India, working for educational reforms pan India. Tisca has hosted the National Bravery Awards 2009, the Rajiv Gandhi National Awards 2008 and also a Quiz show on National Geographic Channel for the TERI, called Terraquiz.

Deepak Chaurasia is a well known face of Indian electronic media and is one of the smartest political minds in Indian television who would often offer the most provocative take on the day's news from the campaign trail and beyond will complete the panel of judges. A Deepak Chaurasia-report validates a story's importance. Currently he is editor, National affairs with Star News. For the last two decades he has covered almost all the important events across the world and in every corner of our country.
