International Football Academy Opens in Rome, Italy

EduKick partners with Italian soccer star, Francesco Totti. Football players looking to travel abroad and improve their soccer game can now experience elite soccer training in Rome.

Rome, Italy, March 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Football players looking to travel abroad and improve their soccer game can now experience elite soccer training courses in Rome, Italy.

EduKick International Football Academies has opened an elite training academy in Rome, Italy. Combining elite football training with Italian language and cultural immersion, this new international football academy will offer students a brand-new way to experience Rome and develop their soccer skills and knowledge.

For this new academy, EduKick has partnered Francesco Totti, an Italian footballer with an impressive resume. He is an Italian World Cup champion, and the current captain for the Serie A's AS Roma. Five-time Italian Footballer of the Year, Totti is also the seventh all-time goal scorer in Serie A league history, with 188 goals (and counting).

"We're excited to be working with Italian football legend Francesco Totti," said Joey Bilotta, vice-president of EduKick Football Academies. "Players will be training under direct supervision of his personal trainer at Francesco Totti Academy (FTA) five days a week. This is an intense football development program that will significantly improve a player's skill on an international level.

"Francesco Totti and I share the same goal: to create a progressive and professional football academy in Rome for international players to come to Italy on short- and long-term academic courses and train daily in a competitive Italian football environment."

Football players from around the world that register for this program will train with FTA professional coaches to improve speed, agility, and strength. Professional trials are sometimes arranged at the end of the program for the most exceptional players.

"Some of our international football academy alumni have gone on to play professionally," said Bilotta. "We work with affiliated FIFA agents, pro scouts and club coaches around the world to make professional connections for our stand-out players."

Beyond football, student-athletes will experience the heart of Italian culture in the ancient capital of the Roman Empire. Italian language immersion throughout the program and cultural field trips give players a lifelong appreciation for Italian culture. Students will live and train with other athletes from around the world.

The EduKick Italy – Francesco Totti Academy features two academic options: Players 16-18 are enrolled in their affiliated Italian high school, and older players study Italian language only three hours daily.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience for players to interact with fellow football peers from all over the world," said Bilotta. "They get to learn language Italian, improve their soccer game, and discover another culture. It educates them in so much more than just football."
