Former Rocket Mike James to Host Book Signing for Recently Released Memoirs "Fight For Your Dreams" at Books-a-Million in the Houston Pavilions on April 9th, 6-8:30pm

Houston, TX, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Family, friends and fans will join former Houston Rocket’s guard, Mike James as he celebrates the release of his memoirs “Fight For Your Dreams”. The book signing will take place on Friday, April 9th from 6-8:30 pm. at Books-A-Million in the Houston Pavilions located at 1201 Main St, Houston, TX.

Mike James has been a leader on and off the court in his 8 years in the NBA, but he traveled a tough road to get there. Now with the release of his memoirs, Fight for Your Dreams, Mike shares his journey to success. Mike will kick off a limited/exclusive book tour in Houston before heading to New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Minneapolis.

Continuing in the tradition of the Mike James Foundation and his community efforts, Mike is striving to reach and impact the youth through his memoir. “I want the kids I help to see they are no different from me," says Mike, "If I can make it - they definitely can make it." The book is being added to several schools' required reading list in Mike's home state, New York. Proceeds from the book will benefit the Mike James Foundation's scholarship program.
