The Institute for Church Safety and Risk Management Selects 25-Year Law Enforcement and Risk Management Professional Tony Zuniga to Lead Newly Established L.A. Roundtable

The Institute for Church Safety and Risk Management (ICSARM) has announced the establishment of the Greater Los Angeles Church Safety Roundtable based out of the Los Angeles, California area. This is the fourth California roundtable to be established in the past three months and will cover churches in the greater Los Angeles area and counties to the immediate north of Los Angeles.

Tupelo, MS, April 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Martin "Tony" Zuniga has over 25 years of law enforcement, security & risk management experience. Tony began his distinguished career of service as a member of the USAF where he first served as a member of Security Forces and later as a member of the Air Force Special Operations Forces. As a member of Special Operations, Tony was deployed to various locations throughout the world in support of missions and operations which provided forward presence and engagement, search and rescue and special operations forces mobility.

Tony entered law enforcement immediately after his military career and worked as Police Officer for two agencies in the in the Southern California area. Tony has been recognized for his service as a Police Officer and has received numerous awards and recognition from the local community, school districts, regional agencies and the State of California Legislature. In 1992, Tony served as Chapter President for the Region 5, D.A.R.E Officers Association; in that same year Tony was selected “Peace Officer of the Year” by the L.P.O.A.

Following his career in law enforcement Tony began his employment in the field of security and risk management. During this time, Tony successfully performed in a variety of challenging roles and environments providing comprehensive physical security, loss prevention and strategic risk mitigation solutions for several Fortune 500 companies. Tony possesses subject matter expertise in a wide variety of areas including; Workplace Security/Safety, Workplace Violence Prevention Consulting, Church Security/Safety, School & Campus Security/Safety, Threat Assessment, Corporate Investigations, Emergency Preparedness/Recovery, and Physical Security.

In 2009, Tony realized the fulfillment of a lifelong dream when he founded The Argent Group and serves as President. Tony has been recognized by clients for his ability to analyze & comprehend their unique culture and organizational needs and subsequently translate those needs into solutions that secure critical business functions and mitigate risk to their organization.

Tony is a member of ASIS International and has been awarded the prestigious designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) signifying his expertise in various areas of security and risk management.

Tony attended San Bernardino Valley College where he majored in Administration of Justice and he later attended Cal Baptist University where he majored in Information Systems Management. Tony is currently attending Capella University, is majoring in Information Assurance and Security and is projected to obtain his Masters in early 2012. Tony is a currently serving as an adjunct professor in Homeland Security studies at a local college in Southern California.

Tony has been a believer for over 20 years and is married to Claudia and together they are raising their 3 boys and 2 girls. Tony and his family attend Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California where they all serve in various roles and ministries including the annual Harvest Crusades held in Anaheim, California. Tony has also served in a variety of roles for the Shield of Faith and Cops for Christ, ministries which serve active or former law enforcement and public safety professionals.
