Mayor of Hailsham Extends Invitation to Annual Town Meeting

Hailsham Town Council would like to invite members of the public and local organisations to attend this year’s Annual Town Meeting which takes place on Wednesday 21st April from 7.30pm at the Hailsham Community Hall, Vicarage Lane.

Hailsham, United Kingdom, April 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Hailsham Town Council has a statutory responsibility to inform residents of the work undertaken by the town council and its achievements during the past twelve months via an Annual Town Meeting.

The meeting will include a presentation and review of the past year by the Town Mayor and Chairman Councillor Dr Ian Haffenden, along with individual reports from each of the Standing Committee Chairs. The meeting will conclude with a question and answers session.

Councillor Haffenden encourages as many residents to attend as possible: “The Annual Town Meeting gives members of the public an opportunity to not only raise questions on matters affecting the town, but express their views and see township government in action. I consider the meeting highly important because we receive the input of local residents - the electors.”

If members of the public wish to submit a question or item for the Agenda, please advise the Town Clerk (in writing) at the Town Council Offices, Market Street, Hailsham, BN27 2AE or email mickey.caira@hailsham-tc.gov.uk prior to the above date.
