Smashing Press Publish New Kids Poetry Book by Colin Galbraith

Edinburgh, United Kingdom, April 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scottish author and poet, Colin Galbraith, has published his third chapbook of poetry. Silly Poems for Wee People Vol.2 is a hilarious collection of poems ideal for kids of all ages, and was released on April 2nd from Smashing Press.

The book contains many new poems, as well some of his already popular kids poems like River Monkeys and Gnu Atchoo!, both of which have proved to hold as much appeal to adults as well as children.

Complete with accompanying cartoons, the poems inside Silly Poems for Wee People Vol.2 are perfect for stirring the imagination of kids, mums and dads and are perfect for children who like to read or be read aloud to. Fun for all the family, Galbraith describes his latest book as being “childish, but devilishly funny.”

Silly Poems for Wee People Vol.2 is Colin's third chapbook and comes three years after Poolside Poetry was released, and five years after the critically acclaimed Fringe Fantastic.

On being asked why he made the move to children's poetry, Galbraith said: “It's simply a lot of fun to do. I write a lot of crime fiction so turning my head to off the wall kids stuff I find to be very cathartic. The more you write it the more you lose yourself in their world; the more you regress to being a kid again. I'm just a big kid anyway, so it works well on so many levels,” he joked.

Colin Galbraith's popularity as a contemporary Scottish writer has grown rapidly over the past few years. He is a prolific published writer of fiction, poetry, non-fiction articles and reviews, and has been earmarked by the Scottish local Press as one to watch.
