Mark Moore, Managing Partner of SGIS, Named one of 40 Under 40 Winners by Orlando Business Journal

Mark Moore, Managing Partner of SGIS has been named as one of the winners of the 2010 40 Under 40 Award by the Orlando Business Journal.

Orlando, FL, April 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mark Moore, Managing Partner of SGIS, a government contracting firm working within the Intelligence, Homeland Security and Defense communities, has been named as one of the winners of the 2010 40 Under 40 Award by the Orlando Business Journal. This award recognizes professionals under 40 years old for their business accomplishments, community contributions and significant career milestones. Moore and the other honorees will be featured in the June 11th edition of the Orlando Business Journal.

“I am incredibly honored to be recognized by this award, but this is a direct result of a team effort,” said Mark Moore, Managing Partner of SGIS. “I would not have won without the collective achievements of the SGIS team.”

With more than nine years of experience in the Government Contracting, Technical Services, Information Technology, Banking and Professional Services industries, Moore established and oversees two SGIS offices: Orlando, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina. Moore is responsible for the overall strategic direction of SGIS, operations management, business development and management of employees and contractors for those offices.

Moore has received numerous awards for his accomplishments. He has been recognized as a member of the SGIS Dream Team for four consecutive years. In 2006, Moore was personally presented with the 2006 Governor’s Entrepreneurship Award in the Mega Category by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Moore gives back to the community through a variety of charitable and civic organizations. He has been involved in fundraisers for Hospice of the Comforter and Cornerstone Hospice. On a continuous basis Moore makes financial contributions to the University of Central Florida (UCF) Alumni Association and the UCF Foundation. He also donates his time to the UCF Professional Selling Program. In this capacity, Moore helps to mentor two students within the program, donating his time weekly to these students as well as organizing outside activities for them and participating in some of the program’s competitions.

Moore is a board member of the Disney Entrepreneur Center in Orlando. He is also an active member of several other organizations, including the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the Homeland Security Industries Association (HSIA), the National Center for Simulation, the UCF Alumni Association, the UCF Golden Knights Club and the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce.

Moore attended UCF and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He continues to support his alma matter through the Alumni Association.
