Quotes:
“I am looking forward to participating in NCSU’s PR Day and the panel on PR writing,” said Lesher. “PR writing is not just about news releases, talking points and award nominations anymore. The opportunities for writers in the field of public relations are expanding with the advent of blogging, podcasting, tweeting and the endless content demands of the Internet.”

“Changes happening in public relations and social media are linked,” said McDonald. “As both public relations and social media professionals, it is our responsibility to dive in headfirst, and figure out the tools of the mobile Web and how they can be used. Location-based technologies will play a huge role moving forward, and we will see traditional media continue to move online en-masse.”

Details:
- Lesher is a ghostwriter and has contributed to chapters for nonfiction books and written hundreds of published articles for clients in national/regional magazines, newspapers and trade publications, both online and print. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

- McDonald develops instructional and PR videos, Facebook pages, podcasts and Internet projects such as Google maps and Ning sites. A veteran blogger, he mixes traditional PR with new media strategies to create effective PR campaigns, strengthening client marketing initiatives through online tools, Google Analytics and search engine optimization (SEO).
