Lutterworth, United Kingdom, April 11, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Panther is keeping customers working safely at height by investing in a new fleet of support vehicles for its National mobile engineering service. East Midlands Vehicle Hire secured the contract to provide 24 vans for Panther, part of Lavendon Access Services, the UK’s largest powered access rental business.
The key points Panther considered when choosing the successful company were choice and size of vehicle, safety features, fuel efficient engines, door options (for accessing parts and tools), running costs, lead time and price. Volkswagen offered the best options in two different sizes, namely the ‘Caddy’ and the larger ‘Transporter’.
All vans were supplied ‘ready to roll’ in full livery with reflective rear chevrons, complete with accessories such as racking, tool and part boxes/shelves, safety equipment such as rotating beacons and mobile phone kits. The fleet is also supported by a 24/7 hour a day, 365 days a year driver support service.
Steve Tingey, Panther Luton’s Foreman Service Engineer, said: “Panther’s headquarters in Luton has taken delivery of its new fleet of service vans, and the feedback from my team of engineers has been fantastic. Both the 1.9Tdi Transporter and 1.9Tdi Caddy have as standard, side and rear loading doors, full height bulkhead, are fitted with alarms, air conditioning and electric windows. The appearance and versatility of these vehicles reflect the way in which Panther operates.”
East Midlands Vehicle Hire Sales Director, David Grantham said: “I am delighted to continue the partnership with Panther, and add to its growing fleet of vehicles with another 24 Volkswagen vans. The Caddy and Transporter both offer superb fuel efficiency. They are smart looking vehicles, and all ordered in white which perfectly shows off the Panther branding.”
