Choice Logistics Expands Mission-Critical Service Parts Stocking Location Network in EMEA

New operations facilitate client growth throughout region

New York, NY, April 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Choice Logistics, the global specialist in customized third-party mission-critical service parts logistics, has announced the growth of its strategic stocking location (SSL) network in EMEA. A total of 107 sites have been opened throughout Western, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Middle East. In addition, Choice has the capacity to activate an additional 200 markets as needed. The expansion complements client efforts to broaden service and support to end-users throughout the region. Choice has 400 SSLs currently in operation around the world supporting existing clients’ global service parts requirements, including two- to four-hour availability.

“We understand that EMEA is an important growth market for clients, and keenly focused on their priorities in this fast-growing region,” said Michael Notarangeli, vice president, of Field Operations. “One of Choice’s core strengths is the ability to quickly and efficiently enter new markets in compliance with legal and global trade regulations. This expansion is a direct reflection of our flexibility to help clients meet their evolving business needs, so they can focus on increasing revenues. While facilitating their efforts is essential, it is just as significant that we offer the same high level of service regardless of where we operate. With new investments in personnel and infrastructure, we’ve made this level of consistency a reality.”

In 2009, Choice named international supply chain management expert, Rob van Doorn as director of operations in EMEA. He leads four regional-based managers responsible for performance and quality control at each SSL. The team meticulously monitors performance data on a daily basis, which allows for ongoing refinement and enhancement, as well as real-time corrective action of various processes. They consistently offer proactive solutions to streamline service parts fulfillment and optimizes inventory, resulting in reduced client spend.

To ensure reliable service parts availability, Choice has made considerable investments in customs compliance on behalf of clients with its Global Trade and Compliance (GTC) team. The GTC is focused on providing expert counsel and processing import and export documentation to avoid potential delays and penalties that can compromise the efficient distribution of parts.

Choice recently established a new regional hub in Dubai to improve Middle East access. The operation substantially reduces the amount of time necessary to process, ship and receive part orders in surrounding countries, including Saudi Arabia and other members of the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC).
