Architect D. William Otey Joins Western Architectural

Strategic hire positions the Portland-based forensic architecture and engineering firm to meet a growing demand for building envelope consulting and construction defect litigation services.

William Otey as the newest member of its professional staff. Mr. Otey will provide architectural services as they relate to building envelope consulting and design, and will serve as an integral part of the firm’s litigation support team, offering expert witness testimony on behalf of plaintiffs and defense in construction defect cases.

A registered architect in California, Mr. Otey’s background includes over 30 years experience in architecture, construction management, construction forensics and claims. His skills encompass building repair methodology, cost estimating, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, and expert witness testimony. He worked extensively in Los Angeles, the Bay Area and in Florida prior to relocating to Oregon.
