)-- SBR Multisports announces that for the fourth year Harriman State Park will serve as the venue for its seasonal events, two USAT-sanctioned sprint distance triathlons in June and August, 2010. The first taking place on June 12, 2010 and the second on August 14, 2010, the events will consist of a .5-mile swim, a 16-mile bike and a 3.1-mile run. The scenic Harriman State Park in New York serves as a great recreational setting for participants, family members and friends.
The course is professionally marked and supervised. Swim waves are categorized by age and gender, and are limited to 150 swimmers per wave. Race times are scored by the Champion Chip system. Athletes can enjoy snacks and drinks after crossing the finish line. When all athletes complete the race, an awards ceremony and a generous raffle prize drawing take place. All participants receive an SBR Tri Series Finisher t-shirt.
The races have a fun, low key atmosphere and are ideal for the beginner triathlete looking to gain more experience, as well as the seasoned athlete looking to fine-tune their performance in a short course race. Space is limited; register early to get your spot.
“Our goal is to make triathlons a more interactive, enjoyable experience for participants, family and friends by providing a challenging course at a venue that appeals to anyone.” says an SBR race representative.
