Local Remodeler Catches Top Honor

Milwaukee, WI, April 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) awarded Brillo Home Improvements Inc, in Milwaukee, WI, the 2010 National CotY Award in the category of Commercial Exterior for a project in the Village of Elm Grove. The design, by Zimmerman Architectural Studios, called for a complete exterior renovation.

Incorporated in May of 1977 as a small roofing company by childhood friends, Brillo Home Improvements now specializes in all facets of home improvement including additions, kitchen and bath remodels, attic conversions, window and door replacement, and basement remodels. The company also performs commercial remodeling including additions, office renovations and exterior renovations.

“We’re honored to receive such a prestigious award and it’s the perfect complement to our regional and local awards”, stated Guy Lipovsek, one of the company’s owners.

An Elm Grove native purchased the property and took the opportunity to not only resurrect the exterior of the building but also to assure it blended with the surrounding residential area. It was a large undertaking since the building and property lacked care in recent years. The building was hidden by overgrown trees and it became an eyesore in the quant village. Currently, the newly renovated space is offered for sale as retail space.

Brillo Home Improvements was presented the award at NARI’s Evening of ExcellenceSM on April 10 at the Wyndham Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ. This event is widely considered to be the premier event of the year in the remodeling industry, and was attended this year by more than 230 of the industry’s elite.

NARI members represent an elite group from the approximately 800,000 companies and individuals in the U.S. identifying themselves as remodelers.
