Boston Band The Van Burens Play The Joint in Los Angeles April 27, 2010

The Van Burens, based in Boston, MA, continue their national tour supporting the release of their debut EP, "The Eager EP", with a show at Los Angeles club The Joint on Tuesday, April 27 at 8 pm.

Los Angeles, CA, April 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Joint in Los Angeles, CA, hosts The Van Burens on its stage on April 27, beginning at 8 p.m. This fun-loving animated group of musicians has been on the road since their sold-out show at The Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA, at the end of March. That audience clearly knew and enjoyed The Van Burens' original sound - their epic "Taft Punk" had the entire room singing "grease the tub" and eventually jumping with arms aloft at the finale.

Known for their eclectic catalog of original music and covers and their singular sense of humor, the five VBs have been playing music together for the better part of ten years. A sense of camaraderie is evident in their studio work on "The Eager EP" as well as in their live performance, a blend of progressive rock jams flavored with funk, a touch of blues, some catchy pop riffs, and sweet vocal harmonies.

Judging from their almost daily tour blog posts, the on and off-stage adventure continues unabated, as the VBs make friends and win fans in each city they visit. After Los Angeles, trusty steed "Ruby Pearl" takes The Van Burens on to San Diego and San Francisco before heading back east.

The Van Burens have played such well-known rooms as The Canal Room, Sullivan Hall and Bitter End in NYC; Johnny D's, Copperfields, Baseball Tavern and Middle East in Boston; and various rooms and festivals throughout the Northeast.

"The Eager EP" is available on CD Baby, iTunes, or on the VB website.
