Artspace to Host 2nd Annual Give & Take Scholarship Fundraiser

Raleigh, NC, April 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mary Poole, executive director of Artspace (www.artspacenc.org), has announced that the visual art center will host the 2nd annual Give & Take fundraiser to raise money for Artspace’s Summer Arts Program scholarships. The event will take place on Thursday, May 13, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will include live music by the Bowerbirds, light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The fundraiser will showcase the artwork of featured artists including Cannonball Press, Liz McGrath, Garrett Scales, Shaun Richards, David Eichenberger, Bill McRight and more. All silent auction, raffle and purchase proceeds will go toward the scholarship fund. Tickets are on sale now or can be purchased at the door.

- Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for the general public.

- Artspace presents 50 pieces for $50 (works on 12” square panel) and 25 pieces for $25 (works on paper) at the event. Limit of one piece per person until all patrons are served.

- Purchase order will be determined by place in line at the door. Members will receive priority entrance between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Doors will open to the general public at 7 p.m. Attendees will be given a patron number upon entrance, and Artspace will serve patrons in numeric order.
