Top NASCAR Driver Scott Wimmer Signs Three Race Program in the #27 Car

Will be Racing This Week at Talladega for the Red Man Snuff sponsor

Altamonte Springs, FL, April 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Scott Wimmer, one of NASCAR’s most dynamic and hottest racers just signed a 3 race program deal that will see him driving the #27 Red Man Moist Snuff Baker Curb Racing Ford Fusion. Wimmer will be driving the #27 Red Man Moist Snuff Baker Curb Racing Ford Fusion this weekend at the Aarons 312 at the Talladega Superspeedway. This deal follows a two-race deal that saw Wimmer driving racing in the No. 7 Chevy Impala that Danica Patrick began the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series with. Wimmer will also be racing the #27 Red Man Moist Snuff Baker Curb Racing Ford Fusion at the Federated Auto Parts 300 in Nashville in June and the Meijer 300 at the Kentucky Speedway also in June. The deal was negotiated by P1 Groupe, Wimmer’s professional motorsports management company.

“I am happy we got this deal done, we have been talking with the guys at Baker Curb Racing for some time now, and I am excited to be driving the #27 Red Man Moist Snuff Baker Curb Racing Ford Fusion,” said Scott Wimmer. “I really like racing at Talladega and look forward to competing there again in what has been an electrifying season for me so far. We are trying very hard to keep the momentum going this season and lay the groundwork for as many races as possible this season and have those results lead us into a full season deal for 2011.”

The Aarons 312 at Talladega is one of NASCAR’s most prestigious races that attracts racing fans in the tens of thousands. For Wimmer, this race will be a challenge to see if he can maintain the earlier momentum that he has shown at Bristol and Nashville where he scored two top 10s this season and earned the praise of Sports Illustrated’s Tom Bowles.

Scott Wimmer originally hails from Wausau, Wisconsin. He carved his mark on the short tracks in the Midwest throughout the 1990’s and became recognized as the dominant force in racing throughout the Midwest. Wimmer captured the eye of top NASCAR owners after he entered the American Speed Association (ASA) and claimed victories in the first two races he competed in. Wimmer tallied up two top five and eight top 10 finishes in his rookie year of the Busch Series that put him 11th in the championship standings. In the 2007 season, Wimmer (along with teammate Jeff Burton) won the NASCAR Busch Series season owner points championship for Richard Childress Racing. The duo finished 3rd in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings in 2008, while Wimmer posted his 6th career NASCAR win. In 2009, Wimmer ran races for Curtis Key Sr. and Key Motorsports as well as Dale Earnhardt Jr., and JR Motorsports. He resides in North Carolina with his wife, Jody and son, Hayden.
