The Art of Jophen Stein
Entertainment has held a position of helping people cope with the everyday drudgeries of life. The Game show, moreover, offers both the value of entertainment and a promise at a chance of making life better. Loosely based on Franz Kafka's The Trial Jophen Stein's latest series The Gamies explores the idea of systems that are in place but not fully understood. From the exhilaration of winning to the disappointment of losing The Gamies is a look into the bipolar effects of game shows as entertainment.

Location: Art Whino Gallery
173 Waterfront St.
National Harbor, MD 20745
Show end date: June 12th
The event is Free and open to the public.
Jophen Stein is a graduate of the Laguna College of Art and Design. After establishing the Snootson family showcase in 2004 his distinctive style has gained national recognition over the past couple of years. Despite the minor set backs of being banned from Idaho and Iowa Jophen Stein continues the SFSC series from his studio in Pomona.
The Snootson family show case SFSC is a collection of narrative, historical and character based art. While there are a variety of subjects and motifs presented in the SFSC, a principle underling theme exits concerning the correlation between antiquity and modernity. With the help of literary devices such as irony and double entendres, the SFSC parodies contemporary social life with the eras and precedence that created it.
