Stack-a-Buoy Marine Develops Lobster Fishing Buoy Innovation

Gotell has invented the world's first stackable buoy, designed for convenient storage and transportation.

Arichat, Canada, May 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It all starts with an idea. But without the drive to succeed an idea alone won't take you very far. Fortunately Blair Gotell has both.

Gotell has invented the world's first stackable buoy, designed for convenient storage and transportation. It all began when he went lobster fishing with relatives in PEI and saw the nuisance buoys can be. He started asking questions and heard about the problem of durability, storage and transportation. Gotell says: "I thought there's got to be a better way and I started thinking about what I could do."

Gotell said he will succeed because he has done the work and he's not giving up. He has already put six years into the project, spending this past year working on it full time. "What separates a good idea from a great idea is the amount of thought you put into it." To that end Gotell has already commissioned a full market evaluation by the Canadian Innovation Centre in 2004 and has patented and trademarked his idea in both Canada and the United States.

The most obvious markets are lobster fishing, crab fishing, marine, and recreational buoys.

"Anybody can process an idea and it starts with believing in yourself. I teach my kids there are a lot of lessons to be learned from this. My kids are watching me progress to success," Gotell says.
