New Crime Novel, "The Key of Solomon," Predicts Rise of Cults in America

An epic crime thriller, "The Key of Solomon," by Howard F. Clarke depicts the rise of a powerful cult in a near-future America fractured by moral decay and its obsession with political correctness.

Dallas, TX, May 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Based upon years of research into occult activity in Europe and America, a new crime novel by Howard F. Clarke entitled "The Key of Solomon" was released for purchase through Amazon.com this month. Taking place in Los Angeles, New York, and New Mexico (the latter also fittingly referred to as "the Land of Enchantment"), this 400 plus page novel tells the story of a police consultant dragged into the investigation of a cult related to the "Hellfire Club" of 16th Century European aristocracy. "Police prefer to investigate a cult-related crime," says author Howard Clarke, "as a drug- or sex-related offense. Cult crimes have problems that police do not want to face and prosecutors have particular trouble with." In the novel, high-ranking officials and businessmen partake in murderous activity as part of a cult. "These types of crimes do occur in this country, but this level of cult activity," Howard adds, "are rarely reported and even more rarely prosecuted." The book contains a supernatural element, hence the title referring to a fabled scroll said to have been penned by King Solomon of Biblical fame.
