(GTS) Gibson Technical Services to Construct 27 Miles of Fiber Optic for US Army Corps of Engineers and Deploy State-of-the-Art 802.11n Mesh Network at Fort Jackson

Canton, GA, May 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Gibson Technical Services (GTS) has partnered with EW Wells Group LLC to construct 27 miles of fiber optics cable for the US Army Corps of Engineers (Project # W912BV-10-C-1020) in Truscott, Texas. GTS is responsible for placement of conduit system and fiber optic cable, fiber optic splicing and testing, and provides and installs termination equipment for the Chloride Control Area 8.

GTS was also recently selected to deploy a state-of-the-art 802.11n Mesh Network for Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC. The Mesh Network is part of a energy efficiency program for the Army. GTS will utilize it’s top tier engineers and field technicians to design and deploy the network. The project is expect to be completed by summer 2010.
