Hailsham Town Council Grants 2010/2011

Local community groups and voluntary organisations across Hailsham are set to benefit from £9,000 worth of grants after recommendations from the Finance, Policy & Resources Estimates Sub-Committee were ratified by Hailsham Town Council. These grants form part of the 2010/11 Community Grant Scheme.

Hailsham, United Kingdom, May 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Town Council will award grants in the coming months to a wide range of community groups that aim to introduce improved facilities, activities or projects for the benefit of the town’s residents.

A full list of grant recipients, including individual amounts allocated will be available to view on the Town Council’s website in the near future: www.hailsham-tc.gov.uk.

Town Clerk Liz Jones said, “Our yearly grant scheme is the main way in which the town council provides funding and support to the community and voluntary sector. Small grants such as this can make a considerable difference to them when planning and funding a worthwhile project.”

She added “Any group that has a constitution, a non-profit ethos and are of benefit to the local community of Hailsham may apply for a grant in the future.”

The next deadline for grant aid applications (2011/12) will be the end of November 2010. For an application form, please write to the Town Clerk, Hailsham Town Council, Inglenook, Market Square, Hailsham, BN27 2AE.
