)-- “I remember receiving a call from Film Director Lucia Grillo, asking me if I would be able to create effects for her film, 'Ad Ipponion,' ” said Orlando Delbert. “Lucia is one of those individuals, whose visions are always very impact-full. I always think of her film, 'A Pena Do Pana (The Coast of Bread),' which to me has so many subtle emotions in its fabric. I am honored to be part of her story telling. What a pleasant surprise when I received a simple little email saying, “There might be more than one name you recognize…” followed with a link to the Festival De Cannes, Short Film Corner webpage for the film. What a good way to start a day!”

“Working remotely had its challenges,” said Orlando. “I was supplied footage, which normally would have involved tracking. Because of the feeling of the story, I decided to do it “by eye.” I thought in this case, the desired effect should have been of a more organic and free-flowing feeling. It involved creating a light element in special effects software, and giving it life. I felt it should be a character in itself.”
The Short Film Corner is organized by the Festival de Cannes. It is a dedicated place for filmmakers to present their films at the Festival de Cannes. It provides a forum, for industry professionals to view the films in one place.
