CIS has announced the latest release of its government pricing calculation system, CalcPartner(TM) 2.0. This release includes the flexibility to quickly address regulatory changes to calculations, such as the new Unit Rebate Amount (URA) and the new Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) reporting provisions mandated in new healthcare reform legislation.

Philadelphia, PA, May 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Compliance Implementation Services (CIS), a pharmaceutical compliance consulting firm, today announced the latest release of its government pricing calculation system, CalcPartner(TM) 2.0. This includes the flexibility to quickly address regulatory changes to calculations, such as the new Unit Rebate Amount (URA) and the new Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) reporting provisions mandated in new healthcare reform legislation.

“Both the scale-ability and flexibility of CalcPartner allows CIS to adapt quickly and accurately to changes in calculation methodologies from any source,” said CIS Director of Government Pricing Programs Matt Gorman, “up to and including changes in federal law.”

CalcPartner 2.0 is a government pricing calculation platform used by CIS analysts in assisting pharmaceutical companies that participate in government subsidized drug programs to effectively conduct and preserve all applicable pricing calculations. CalcPartner 2.0 will enable established pharmaceutical firms with hundreds of National Drug Codes (NDCs) — as well as small, privately held firms with one or two NDCs — to maintain the government-mandated ten-year history of data, logic and runs; maintain a ten-year audit trail of actions taken by every user; generate deliverable reports; view, sort, and filter on a multitude of calculation variables; and import data from other non-CalcPartner formats. The application also provides a messaging system for managing customer calculations and a note-taking system for domain and transaction data.

To further support companies participating in government programs, CIS is hosting “Government-approved Pricing Calculations,” a complimentary webinar on Thursday, May 20, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM EST. The online discussion will provide master support documentation best practices and ways to ensure that government pricing data is compliant, auditable, repeatable, and accurate.
