The “Business” of the Show! Learn Everything You Need to Know about Building an Acting Career.

Instructor: Kimberly R. Hardin, Casting Director with over 25 years of experience in Hollywood.

One of Hollywood’s Leading Ladies, Kimberly R. Hardin, has made a career of casting unknown and typecast actors in distinctive roles. Casting for Gold is Kimberly’s trademark with Oscar Award Winning Hustle & Flow. She has Developed, Produced & Cast a series of Diversity Showcases and Table Readings of Network Shows for ABC/Touchstone. Her credits include Cadillac Records, Madea goes to Jail, Four Brothers, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Friday, Jason’s Lyric, Moesha and The Jacksons: An American Dream. As one of the top feature casting directors in Hollywood her unique eye has helped the careers of stars Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Chris Tucker, Bernie Mac, Jennifer Lopez, Tyrese Gibson, Cedric the Entertainer, Gabrielle Union, Mo’Nique, Jennifer Connelly, Chris Kattan, Ludacris, and Bridgette Wilson, to name only a few.

This dynamic workshop takes place on Saturday, June 12-Sunday, June 13th (10-5 p.m.) each day. The workshop will be conducted at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in Decatur, GA classroom 109.

Those who participate in this workshop will be able to participate in PVIFF’s first annual Actor’s Showcase at no cost which will take place on Saturday, June 19th -11-5 p.m. at Taboo 2 Bistro & Bar. Showcase participants will be judged by professional casting directors, actors, producers and more. The winner will be awarded a free makeover, headshots, marketing & promotions, tickets to PVIFF 2010 and more.
