Amadeus Consulting Creates iStitches Volume One, a Portable Stitch Application for Needlepoint Users

Amadeus Consulting, a custom application developer, is excited to announce the development of iStitch Vol. 1, a custom app designed to compress over 100 needlepoint patterns into a mobile platform, without sacrificing usability or quality.

Boulder, CO, May 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Amadeus Consulting announces the release of iStitches Volume One, a portable stitching device iPhone™ application for Ruth Schmuff, author of the book version.

Ruth Schmuff approached Amadeus Consulting after being referred by SuZy Murphy, author of SuZy’s Stitches who had worked with Amadeus Consulting on her needlepoint application, SuZy’s Stitches. SuZy informed Ruth of the successful engagement with Amadeus Consulting and Ruth recognized Amadeus Consulting had the technical skills necessary to complete the project, and possessed the personality and understanding required to make the project a huge success.

Ruth Schmuff wanted to design a mobile application for the iPhone that would allow users the ability to reference needlepoint designs and patterns on a portable device more suitable than carrying around traditional books and magazines.

In order to leverage the popularity of the iPhone, Ruth wanted to create a mobile marketing presence, and she hoped to increase her ability to reach out to her friends and customers, and further expand the needlepoint community.

iPhone applications have a strict size limit (20 MB) which limits the number of images and information that can be placed in the app. As Amadeus Consulting has developed over 15 iPhone applications, Ruth Schmuff knew that its team had the skill necessary to design an application that could incorporate high quality images, within the size constraints of the iPhone.

No stranger to challenges, the Amadeus Consulting team was able to fit over 100 high quality designs onto the app, which can be viewed and manipulated (zoom in and out) by the user.

This allows users the ability to easily display any of the patterns, regardless of the situation. This makes it extremely portable and easy to use for needlepoint enthusiasts, who sometimes have trouble working on projects while away from home.

Amadeus Consulting designed the application, called iStitch Vol. 1, which included comprehensive quality testing, and carrying the project through the extensive Apple® App Store submission and approval process. The Amadeus Consulting team looks forward to the continued success its custom applications have seen in the marketplace.
