"Being Bucky" is a feature documentary about a year in the life of seven students who portray the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 7' mascot, Bucky Badger. The documentary takes the viewer from the initial tryouts for official university mascot, through the intensive training, and on to the sports fields. The film documents the dedication and zaniness involved in "wearing the head". It shows the love of the fans for their beloved badger. Fromstein and Smith's "buckumentary" film won the audience award for Best Documentary at the 2009 Wisconsin Film Festival.
