Historic Silver Screen Magazine to Publish New Volume with Midnight Refrain Jazz Artist Laura Shaffer as Cover Girl

Colliers Media Company imprint, an iconic entertainment magazine that was reintroduced last year as an E Magazine, now returns in hard copy format with a special issue entitled "The Classic Glamour is Back!"

Las Vegas, NV, May 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Colliers Media Company has expanded the scope of the iconic Silver Screen Magazine from its present E Magazine format to include a print edition. The initial print edition is scheduled for August 2010 and features Midnight Refrain Jazz Artist Laura Shaffer as the cover girl.

Silver Screen Magazine is also issuing retro editions of the magazine from its glory years as a leading entertainment magazine for many decades. The first retro issue can be seen in the HBO mini series Mildred Pierce, which is currently in production. It will be released concurrently with the release of the movie.

Silver Screen Magazine.Com will continue as an ongoing E Magazine.

"We are delighted to bring back the print edition of Silver Screen Magazine in all of it's glory," said Colliers Media Publisher Tom Ficara. "We are so fortunate to be able to attract Laura Shaffer as our cover girl as she is simply the epitome of the glamour image of the Cafe Society era."

The new edition of the magazine will begin with an annual issue as well as special issues. The Laura Shaffer led issue will be a special issue entitled "The Classic Glamour Is Back."

Laura Shaffer, a Las Vegas based performer who has appeared at the Bellagio, Rio, Mandalay Bay, and other major Las Vegas casinos, also owns the Midnight Refrain Company, which specializes in recreating and promoting the glamorous music, fashion, and style of the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's.

The timing of the August edition of the Silver Screen Magazine edition will coincide with the release by RKO Unique Records of the Laura Shaffer performance of her newest CD, entitled "The Julie London Songbook." In this album, Miss Shaffer captures the great songs made famous by the popular torch singer Julie London back in the 1950's.

Silver Screen Magazine, RKO Unique Records, and Midnight Refrain.Com have combined to commission noted glamour photographer and artist Darryl Martin to capture Laura Shaffer for the Silver Screen photo layout.

"When Silver Screen Magazine approached us about this project, we insisted that the only photographer / artist who could do it justice would be Darryl Martin," said Laura Shaffer from her Midnight Refrain headquarters. "We had a wonderful time conceiving and composing this layout, I hope the Silver Screen Magazine readers will enjoy the result."
