Samurai Karate Donates Self Defense Workshop for Women to North Springs Elementary School

Samurai Karate Studio donated a women's self defense workshop, with a value of $300.00, to be raffled at North Springs Elementary School's silent auction fund raising event. The winner of the raffle, gets to invite up to 20 guests for an hour and a half presentation covering self defense concepts for women.

Columbia, SC, June 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio, located in Columbia northeast, South Carolina, recently announced his karate school donated a women's self defense workshop to North Springs Elementary School. The workshop has a value of $300.00.

"I donated this workshop so that North Springs could use it to raise money for their silent auction fund raising campaign, " commented Feldt. "The workshop will include key concepts like attack indicators, why women get assaulted, domestic violence statistics, common every day weapons and what happens to the body during an assault. I will finish the workshop with some "on the mat" techniques showing how to defend against a choke, a bear hug, a hair pull, etc."

The winner of the silent auction is able to invite up to 20 guests for this self defense workshop that is scheduled to run for an hour and a half.
