Columbia, SC, June 01, 2010 --(
PR.com)-- Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio, located in Columbia northeast, South Carolina, has been invited to present stranger danger concepts during a workshop at North Springs Elementary School.
"With the school year almost over, " stated Feldt, "children will be outside more playing in their yards and their neighborhoods, or traveling with their parents around town. Now is the perfect time to remind our children of the dangers of strangers!"
The presentation will focus on the definition of a stranger, who typically is a stranger and offer different strategies depending on the situation the child finds themselves in.
"I try to break down the myth that all strangers are these big, fat, ugly monsters, " commented Feldt, "the truth is, most children are abducted by someone they know, versus a total stranger. However, I do these workshops because I believe if I can prevent One child from being abducted, the many hours of presenting these workshops will be well worth it!"
Sensei Feldt is available to provide your group or organization a workshop including other important topics covering anti-bullying, domestic violence, self defense for women, diabetes awareness and anger management. Please call him at 803-462-9425.
Samurai Karate Studio teaches a traditional style of Japanese karate to children and adults, beginning at age 3.5 years or older.
