Johannesburg, South Africa, June 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Putting Context Into Commerce

New software gives Marketing Departments the power to quickly target customers with personalised offers.

Global Data Logistix Inc announces its commerce management platform, ’Xiing’. Xiing allows marketing departments to quickly launch complex sets of products, automatically identifying the right target customers for promotions and offers.

According to Doug McGowan, CTO of Global Data Logistix, Xiing uses context-sensitive technologies to identify when a target customer will be most receptive to a campaign. Xiing will then automatically target the offer, such as introductory discounts, cross-selling of other services and “up sell” offers. Xiing manages the process from product inventory, partner integration and fulfilment through to the interface with billing.

Marketing can combine many facets of a customer and personalise an offer. This includes monthly spending, product usage, reseller channel, location and flags from a CRM system (e.g., to indicate a premium client).

McGowan added that “Every Marketing Director has a tough job: attract new customers on a dwindling budget. But creating the killer marketing campaign is only half the story. Even more critical is getting to market fast and targeting the right audience. Unfortunately, if engineering or IT resources are needed, great campaigns often fail, especially if integration with a partner is involved. That’s where Xiing comes in – Xiing will speed up launch dates, lower costs and dynamically target the right customers for every deal.”

CEO Jos Nickmans outlined the potential impacts of Xiing, “Xiing helps marketing managers increase revenues and customer retention by giving them the freedom to develop campaigns without the constraints of developer time. They can get really creative with new product bundles, including a partner’s products, and use campaigns to drive up market share. For example, a mobile phone operator could bundle insurance with a phone, or offer a discount on hands-free kits for new customers, all without any need for development.”

Xiing is initially targeted at telecoms operators across Africa and beyond, expanding their product offerings with fixed or wireless broadband and associated data services. However, Xiing is designed to support other competitive industries such as banking and retail where a fast “time to market” and innovative marketing campaigns are required.
