New York, NY, June 04, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Small business owners, entrepreneurs and communications executives will be able to tap into the “Power of Public Relations” at the Downriver Community Federal Credit Union’s June 15 “Grow Your Business Workshop,” featuring guest speakers Sharon Michaels and Maryellen Nugent-Lee, a.k.a., the 2PR Chicks. The breakfast session is sponsored by the Wyandotte Business Association and will be held at the Downriver Guidance Center for Excellence, 13111 Allen Road, Southgate, Mich., 8–10 a.m.
Just as they do in 2PR Chicks, LLC, their national marketing communications firm, Michaels and Nugent-Lee will conduct a dynamic, interactive workshop to share the insights they’ve gained over more than 20 years of helping consumer and industrial clients effectively use public relations to grow their businesses.
The session begins at 8 a.m. with registration, networking and continental breakfast. A 90-minute workshop follows and will focus on how to navigate the changing communications landscape and leverage these changes to benefit each participant’s products, services and brands. Attendees will take away practical tools they can use immediately to discover hidden marketing equity in their businesses, raise their profile in the media, harness social networking, build more lucrative customer relationships and much more.
To further help take local businesses to the next level, 2PR Chicks will award one lucky workshop attendee a “Standard Press Release Package” – a $500 value – and provide another with a six-month Social Networking “Twitter Package” (valued at $180). A third prize of an autographed first-edition of the automobile art book, “Royal to Rusty,” by Ray Germann and Janet Glazer, also will be awarded.
The workshop is free to DCFCU and WBA members; non-members’ admission is $5.00. Participants can register online at www.DownriverSmallBusiness.com.
“We appreciate the sponsorship and support of the Wyandotte Business Association, and we’re delighted to be invited to be part of the Downriver Community Federal Credit Union’s prestigious Business Banking Workshop Series,” said Nugent-Lee.
Added Michaels, “Important information and the availability of resources are constantly growing and transforming. Everyone deserves the opportunity to get a chance to ask the experts and get the communications solutions they are seeking so they can thrive in this economy.”
