Edward Lewis Architects Announces Several New South Florida Architectural Building Commissions

Miami, FL, June 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Edward Lewis Architects – ELA of Miami Dade Florida is pleased to announce several new architectural building commissions, a sign that the building and construction industry is experiencing growth and a rebound from a depressed economy.

Edward Lewis Architects, Inc. an architectural firm offering professional services for specialized and complex institutional, healthcare, transportation, and educational projects. The firm is ranked among one of the top design firms in South Florida. The firm is pleased to announce their new architectural commissions and their substantial growth of their Health Care Division.

Edward Lewis Architects, Inc. was selected by Baptist Health to provide design and architectural services for the West Kendal Medical Arts Building. The facility is a LEEDs Silver rated sustainable building. The facility will be comprised of Clinical Medical Offices, a diagnostic facility, administrative offices for the Hospital, a time-share office facility, doctor’s offices, a teaching Facility for Florida International University, and a pharmacy.

In addition, Baptist Hospital selected Edward Lewis Architects, Inc. health care division to design the new Baptist Health - Sleep Center. The 12,000sf facility will contain 6 sleep units and will contain a tech staff of 4 people, medical offices, and administrative offices.

To complement the existing health care designs, the team at Edward Lewis Architects, Inc. was selected to design the surgical suits for Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables. The surgical suits will be used for Orthopedic Procedures – hip and knee replacements and for neurological procedures. The project includes state of the art laminar flow exhaust hoods, light booms and monitoring equipment.
