)-- Ralph de la Vega, the CEO of AT&T Mobility, talks on the CEO Show with Robert Reiss about the challenging personal and business opportunities he’s faced. Another business venture de la Vega speaks about the merger of Cingular Wireless and AT&T Wireless on a schedule which observers said couldn’t be done, merging 60,000 people in 19 days. On surmounting this challenge he imparts the wisdom that if “you have a good vision, and your plan is executed well, you can break through barriers.”
Reiss asks about de la Vega’s book, ‘Obstacles Welcome’ whose objective is to present his “formula for success,” built upon confronting multiple challenges and conquering them. He explains that it is an easy to read “story about the life lessons and the business lessons learned over 30 years in business.” It’s one of those must read books for persons building a career, according to Reiss.
