New York, NY, December 05, 2006 --(PR.com
)-- Sehr Mahmood, is making headlines again representing Pakistan in the Queen of the World 2006 pageant held in Germany. Sehr Mahmood who is the current winner and queen of Miss Pakistan World, is set to bring Pakistan’s name on the map of the world once again.
Sonia Ahmed, president of Miss Pakistan World says, “In total before the end of December the company, Miss Pakistan World/Miss Canada Pakistan has covered six international pageants already in the year 2006. This year itself, two titles were won and we are still hoping to get a title where a winner would be from Pakistan and would represent us internationally. Sehr Mahmood is a strong candidate and we are excited that this is the second international pageant that she is covering in the year 2006. And we are getting there. Pakistan is changing so rapidly that there are only two pageants untouched by us, and that is Miss World and Miss Universe. So we are almost there, and soon, when the pageant is held in Pakistan, we can see that happening too.”
Sehr Mahmood, 25, is from Karachi, Pakistan. She is in a master's degree program for business at the moment. She has been traveling most of the year to attend several fashion and awards ceremonies.
Sehr Mahmood, “I am very excited to continue this journey to represent Pakistan internationally. Queen of the World is a pageant all about class and beauty. I am in Germany at the moment and having a great time, which includes meeting new delegates from around the world.”
Queen of the World 2006 started in 1988, and since then has attracted around 50-55 delegates from around the world. In 2005, Queen of the World, Anja Buettgen from South Africa was the title holder. First runner-up was Danielle Lloyd (21) from England and the 2nd runner up became Queen of Croatia, Zorica Pupovac (23).
The final night of the Queen of the World 2006 is set to take place in Mannheim, Germany. From visiting the Christmas market in Mannheim to yoga Sessions in Frankfurt. The delegates have a fun filled schedule to learn about Germany’s rich traditions and culture.
