Rooftop Runners Caught by Sonitrol Pacific Audio Security

Granite Falls, WA, June 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Two juveniles on the roof of a Puget Sound area school were apprehended after Sonitrol Pacific’s audio security detected them and called police June 5.

Operator Denise Smith received an impact-activated audio alert from the school and called the school district’s contact. The district employee saw two people on the roof of the school and asked Smith to call police.

Officers arrived quickly and took the two people into custody.

A representative from the school district is confident that the results of this event send a message to would-be thrill seekers or burglars that this district is well protected by Sonitrol Pacific security.

Audio security technology allows for verified alarms and faster police response time. Since 1978, Sonitrol Pacific has caught more than 5,280 suspected burglars, vandals and trespassers. In 2010 alone, detections by their security systems inside schools have led to the apprehension of almost 40 suspects.
