Alumni and Seminarians Connect at the New SIMnet Connect

Society for the Increase of the Ministry announce a new place for seminarians and alumni to connect - SIMnet Connect

West Hartford, CT, June 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The nationally recognized seminarian support and advocacy organization, Society for the Increase of the Ministry (SIM), announces the opening of SIMnet Connect: an interactive forum for alumni to connect and find support while also giving support to those in Seminary.

Through the SIMnet community, users are able to interact with one another, request or provide resources, advise or seek advice from others and build friendships. SIMnet is another means for seeking information on calls within the Church or a means of establishing mentoring relationships. SIMnet also provides alumni numerous avenues of giving back to SIM by donating time to seminarians or helping SIM’s ministry to increase awareness and raise funds.

“SIM’s critical mission of supporting seminarians by raising funds, of providing pastoral presence and daily prayers, and of advocating for seminarian issues is greatly enhanced with the engagement of our alumni through SIMnet,” said Thomas Moore III, Executive Director of SIM.

SIMnet Connect was created due to a significant number of alumni requests seeking opportunities to give back to the organization that supported them through their years in seminary or pay forward to today’s seminarians. SIM is honored to provide a community for alumni and seminarian support and encourage alumni to join and participate often.
