Brighton, United Kingdom, June 17, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Taking influence from artists such as Tori Amos and Damien Rice, Hattie has a voice and a sound that leaves one instantly enamoured. Described as the 'Richard Curtis of songwriting', Rom-Com songs are Hattie's domain. Touching on subjects as diverse as biblical battles and Cupid’s choice of underwear, she appeals to the Bridget Jones in all of us. Hattie writes straight from the heart with poignant and funny, often quirky, lyrics and without pretension.
A graduate of Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Hattie has become a Brighton firm favourite having played such prestigious venues as the Komedia and the Concorde II, as well as Brighton Live 2008 and 2009, The Great Escape and The Brunswick Square Festival. Hattie signed to Rann Records in 2008 and with the release of her debut EP in July 2009, Hattie is set to venture further afield, making her mark on both industry and people's hearts.
