Shock & Oar Marks First Year in Style

Fremantle, Australia, July 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Shock & Oar has celebrated the first anniversary of its flagship store in Fremantle, Western Australia; a year described by Managing Director Brendon Westerhout as a rollercoaster ride full of action around every corner.

“We are thrilled to have established our first store in Western Australia. It has been instrumental in creating a loyal and wide-reaching customer base for our nautical leisurewear brand,” he said.

“The jump from online store to bricks and mortar retail has been exciting and challenging. It has enabled us to showcase new styles, receive first-hand customer feedback and further develop the look and feel of the brand," said Brendon.

And it appears the rollercoaster is not slowing, with Shock & Oar currently working on a designer range in collaboration with West Australian Fashion Designer Alison Cotton. Alison’s own label Joveeba has carved a highly acclaimed international reputation and is popular among well-known celebrities, models and musicians.

Shock & Oar is also set to rejuvenate its online presence with a brand new website featuring state-of-the-art functionality and a fresh new look.

“We have hit so many milestones in our first year thanks to the support of our local customers as well as all those visitors to Fremantle Western Australia who have taken our brand to almost every continent around the world,” said Brendon.
