)-- U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and Fort Bliss invited approved vendors to showcase renewable technology.
SunPods Inc., a manufacturer of modular, factory-assembled solar energy platforms, provided a live demonstration of the SunPods SP-300 EV Plug ‘N Go Solar Charging station at the Ft. Bliss US Army base on June 8th and 9th. TARDEC and Ft. Bliss co-hosted the Renewable Energy Rodeo and Symposium to establish a foundation for the accelerated deployment of renewable and energy-saving technologies.
SunPods exhibited with other Advanced Technology Vehicle Developers to demonstrate the latest innovations for powering electric vehicles (EV) with solar energy. Up to Pentagon-level military and civilian officials from all US service branches and representatives from the Department of Energy were among the conference attendees.
The SunPods SP-300 EV Plug ‘N Go Solar Charging platform gives the military the flexibility to provide sustainable power for a wide range of EV’s including off-road electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and electrical industrial utility vehicles.
“Attending TARDEC’s Renewable Energy events is ideal for SunPods.” said Dan Jaeger, SunPods President and Co-founder. “The on-base events give us both the opportunity to show case our current technology and network with leading EV developers to design compatible solutions for new and emerging EV technologies.”
All SunPods’ Solar Smart Solutions TM are designed for a variety of terrains and delivered to the site pre-assembled and ready to power-up on delivery. This rapid deployment solution enables the military to quickly implement both on-grid and off-grid renewable energy projects and contributes to supporting the National Energy Policy and the Army Energy Strategy.
