Toll Brothers to Donate Home Appliances to Local Charities

Toll Brothers, the nation's leading builder of luxury homes and fine communities, has recently announced that it will donate over 1,500 appliances to charities across the nation. The appliance distribution will be handled through HomeAid, a non-profit organization that provides housing for homeless.

Raleigh, NC, June 20, 2010 --( Toll Brothers, the nation’s leading builder of luxury homes and developer of fine communities around the Triangle, has announced that it will donate well over 1,500 like-new appliances to charities throughout the country, including some in the Triangle. Toll Brothers, which has several beautiful communities throughout the greater Triangle area, has already begun the distribution of the appliances to local charities. The process is being managed by Home-Aid, a non-profit organization that provides housing for the homeless. In regions where HomeAid does not operate, distribution is being managed by Goodwill, The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and the Covenant House.

A change in partnership with Toll Brothers major appliance provider is causing the company to replace appliances in its model homes and design studios through the country, including their communities in the Triangle. That leaves the appliances available for those who need them.

“Toll Brothers is dedicated to being a strong community partner and this is a wonderful way for us to be able to contribute,” said Tom Anhut, Division President for Toll Brothers. “I’m sure that HomeAid will do an outstanding job of getting these appliances to families in need.”

Appliances to be donated include washers, dryers, microwave ovens, ranges, dishwashers, wall ovens, cooktops, and refrigerators. To learn more, visit
