Envere Adds ChicoBag to Product Line
Santa Barbara, CA, June 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Envere has completed arrangements to provide sales and distribution services for ChicoBag’s (Chico, CA) distinctive, Earth-friendly products. Made from as much as 99% recycled content, ChicoBag™ products are revolutionizing the ways in which people everywhere and of every age haul their gear, personal items, food, clothing, beverages and just about anything else that goes where the outdoor action is.

A direct result of a 2004 visit to a local landfill by ChicoBag™ president Andy Keller (who became appalled by the amount of plastic he saw there and elsewhere) ChicoBag™ products are made from recycled plastic and other materials. As Keller recalls “I was instantly shocked and inspired by the tremendous waste, visually dominated by all the plastic bags. On the way home, I thought about why people don’t use reusable bags. My conclusion was that they are hard to use and are often left at home.”

Working at home and experimenting with various approaches to create a truly reusable plastic bag, Keller took his dream further and not only made a very useful initial product but also added features that make it truly “unforgettable.” To help insure they’d be memorable he made each bag easily stowable, included a stuff pouch and added a built-in carabiner for easy attachment to clothing, vehicles, cycles, gear or even a four-legged friend’s saddle or collar.

Since the first 2005 models were introduced a number of innovations have been blended into ChicoBag™ products. Various styles meeting a wide array of user needs have been launched, themed designs created, customization offered and the ultimate in recycled content – the rePETe™ – developed. rePETe™ is ChicoBag’s term for those products containing the most reused content and is a takeoff on the name for the plastic included as each rePETe™ bag’s primary recycled component - polyethylene terephthalate, the dominant component of plastic beverage bottles.

“Our connection with ChicoBag™ is a big plus for us,” says Tom Isaacson, president of Envere. “As a company of people dedicated to aquatic and outdoor activities, this is a link that promises big things for Envere. It fits very well with our goal of doing what we can to help people enjoy our waterways, trails and wild places while being responsible about pollution. Plastic is a large and useful part of all of our lives but careless disposal of plastic items is (or soon will be) very damaging to our natural world. Plastic waste needs to be controlled and each of us must take personal responsibility. And we really don’t have a lot of time as some indications are that the very first plastics to pollute the outdoors may still be where it was dropped and likely will be for many years to come. On top of the negative impact plastics can have in the wild it just plain ruins the view and wastes a perfectly useful resource as proved by ChicoBag™ everyday.”

ChicoBag™ products for outdoor use including customized items with logos, slogans, names or promotional messages are now available from Envere for businesses, organizations, teams, groups or individuals.

Envere sells, distributes, imports and exports environmentally responsible products that enhance outdoor enjoyment. Haul your stuff, refresh yourself, improve gear performance and protect your investment with
