Akadema Endorser Manny Ramirez Makes Return to Boston

Friday, June 19th was Ramirez’s first time in front of the Boston fans in over two years. Red Sox Nation met Ramirez with mixed fanfare as he stepped up to the plate as an opposing player. Ramirez went 5 for 12 (.417) on the series and hit a home run on Saturday. Despite Ramirez’s efforts, the Boston Red Sox swept his Dodgers during the three game series. Over Manny Ramirez’s eight-year career with the Red Sox he hit .312 with 274 home runs, 868 RBIs, won six Silver Slugger awards, and made 8 All-Star game appearances. He was also named the 2004 World Series Most Valuable Player during Boston’s first championship since 1918. Ramirez is currently 14th All-Time on the Home Run list (554), 18th on All-Time RBI list (1,822), and 25th on the All-Time Doubles list (542).
