American Liberty Hospitality Reaches Construction Milestone as Crews Lift Giant Structure to 'Top Off' New Embassy Suites Houston Downtown

Houston, TX, July 01, 2010 --( The new Embassy Suites Houston Downtown at 1515 Dallas reached an important construction milestone when a large, “lantern-like” structure that tops off the hotel was hoisted into place some 20 stories above ground.

The 262-suite hotel, overlooking Discovery Green park and within walking distance of the George R. Brown Convention Center, represents the first privately developed, new construction, full-service hotel in Houston’s Central Business District in the past 28 years. Construction is expected to be completed by March 2011.

Developer Nick Massad, president of Houston-based American Liberty Hospitality and supporters enjoyed a birds-eye view of the lantern being lifted into place from the 24th floor of the adjacent Hilton Americas-Houston.

Upon completion, the new Embassy Suites Houston Downtown will feature spacious, two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom and wet bar. The property will include approximately 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, a rooftop swimming pool, spa and fitness center, a restaurant, a street-level café and wine bar, and two levels of underground parking. Its guestrooms will be equipped with high-speed Internet access, two flat-panel televisions and two, dual-line phones among other amenities.

In addition, the hotel offers a convenient complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast each morning and a complimentary Manager’s Reception each evening.
