Datalight to Market Reliance-Grade CF Cards

Datalight will begin selling highly-reliable CF cards manufactured by Unigen.

Bothell, WA, July 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Datalight announced today that it will begin selling the UGB30STC series CF cards made by Unigen. Testing by Datalight has shown the cards to be superior in both reliability and performance among cards from a range of different manufacturers. Widely known in the industry for highly reliable, high-performance flash management and file system software, Datalight will offer the new CF cards first to customers using Reliance who may be experiencing field failures or data corruption related to sub-par CF cards.

“Customers using our reliable file systems with CF cards have expressed frustration with the reliability of the media itself,” said Roy Sherrill, Datalight CEO. “We are pleased to offer these customers unprecedented performance and reliability with these Reliance-grade CF cards. When used in combination with our fault-tolerant file systems, OEMs can reduce warranty costs and offer their customers a better user experience.”

“The testing that Datalight has done on behalf of their customers demonstrates how serious they are about reliability,” said George Koivun, Unigen’s Vice President of Sales. “We are pleased to be selected as their source for Reliance-grade CF cards.”

The cards are available immediately from Datalight in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities.
