Win Free Soccer Uniforms at Soccer Classroom

To celebrate the success of the World Cup and the new season, Soccer Classroom and Totally Soccer have teamed up to offer coaches an opportunity to win free soccer uniforms by answering, "Why do you Coach?"

Maple Shade, NJ, July 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- With the success of the World Cup, soccer has reached a fever pitch in the United States. The National Team’s dramatic goals to advance to the Round of 16 spurred further interest and created the largest TV audience for a soccer match. As the tournament winds down, the Fall soccer season is getting into full gear.

To celebrate the success of the World Cup and the new season, Soccer Classroom and Totally Soccer have teamed up to offer coaches an opportunity to win free soccer uniforms. As part of Soccer Classroom’s coaching site launch, coaches can win a complete set of the best-selling Hudson soccer uniforms that include soccer jerseys, shorts and socks as well as free team customization of numbers and logos.

Coaches simply have to go to SoccerClassroom.com and post an answer to, “Why do you coach?” The promotion is open until July 15, 2010.

The giveaway of custom soccer uniforms is part of a larger mission that joins Soccer Classroom and Totally Soccer.

“We believe in giving back to the community,” says Jerry Macnamara, Owner at Totally Soccer, “and so we are thrilled to participate in this promotion. There are so many volunteer parents that drive soccer around the country. This is our way to stop and celebrate – and reward - them and their teams.”

Soccer Classroom is a coaching site that provides age appropriate drills, tips and tactics to youth soccer coaches. The website’s aim is to deliver relevant, easy to understand information so coaches can provide better experiences for their players.

According to studies, approximately 80% of youth coaches receive no instruction. With approximately 2.5 million soccer coaches in the United States, this lack of soccer coaching education creates a disjoint in creating the best opportunities for the nation’s 19 million players. With little to no training, coaches are forced to find their own education, but the opportunity for quality instruction is limited.

“We wouldn’t send a teacher into a third grade classroom without any training, would we?” muses Andrew Farwood, Director of Online Experience for Soccer Classroom. “And yet, we send our volunteer parent coaches onto the fields each week to create great experiences and memories for our players, but without any direction how to do it. We force them to wing it and as a result, not only does development suffer, but quality training does as well. We hope that by creating a positive environment, with the right healthy perspective that coaches will have the tools to turn players onto the game for a lifetime. ”
