Tarrytown, NY, July 07, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- Gabriella Di Leo, soon to be four years old, inspired the children's book, "Gabriella and Her Bouquet of Friends," which was written by her father, Jerry Di Leo, and his twin brother, Patsy Di Leo. The book signing will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 7pm - 9pm at the popular coffee shop, Coffee Labs Roasters, 7 Main Street, Tarrytown, NY 10591 (www.coffeelabs.com).
Jerry and Patsy Di Leo, who became first-time authors when they self-published the book on lulu.com, will be selling and autographing their first book. The Westchester residents, who graduated from Fordham University, were both born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY, where Jerry lives with his family. Jerry is owner of both J. Di Leo Landscaping, Inc. and Super Garbage Man, a junk-removal business. Patsy, who currently lives in Tarrytown, is employed as a budget analyst.
The Di Leo brothers used pictures of Gabriella to have the character in the book resemble her. Flowers, including a daisy, rose, tulip, pansy, petunia, and daffodil, make up the other characters in the story. The illustrations were done by Silvina Maldonado who resides in Argentina.
The Di Leos also created a 2011 calendar using the illustrations from the book. The calendar will also be available at the book signing.
"Gabriella and Her Bouquet of Friends" is available on lulu.com as a paperback or digital copy, as well as the 2011 calendar. To purchase, visit Jerry and Patsy Di Leo's Storefront at http://stores.lulu.com/jerryandpatsydileo.
