Apollo for Eclipse Included in Yoxos Eclipse Distribution

Cooperation between Innoopract and Gentleware brings UML capabilities to a wide range of Eclipse users.

Hamburg, Germany, December 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Gentleware AG, an authority in modeling tools and services, announced today the inclusion of its innovative "Apollo for Eclipse" modeling extension in the Yoxos Eclipse Distribution from Innoopract.  It is the first commercial plug-in to be offered through Yoxos.

Apollo for Eclipse is a robust and flexible modeling extension to Eclipse aimed at software developers who want to flexibly combine the advantages of visual modeling using UML (Unified Modeling Language) with programming in Java. The uniquely intuitive modeling tool provides a powerful feature set such as roundtrip engineering for Java 5 and superior scalability to make developers more productive.

Yoxos offers developers the ability to create a custom installation of Eclipse made up plug-ins and automatically manages dependencies to other Eclipse plug-ins. Developers get their plug-ins from a single location and therefore save significant time setting up their Eclipse environment.  Tailor-made offerings for both the individual developer as well as the central installation management and distribution needs of large enterprises are provided with a quick overview of all available plugins, a simple method to select helpful scenarios of plugins, an automatic update mechanism, and an always consistent set of plugin versions.

"In working with Gentleware, Yoxos can now provide a powerful modelling and roundtrip solution to our developer community and round off our offering to this end," said Jochen Krause, CEO of Innoopract. "Gentleware has done a magnificent job of integrating their modelling solution into the Eclipse infrastructure and we are excited to form this partnership."

Dr. Marko Boger, founder and CEO of Gentleware AG, concurred.  "With the integration into the Yoxos distribution, Apollo for UML proves to be a valuable part of the Eclipse tool set and is readily available for enterprises and individual users alike.  We know that the Eclipse community has very individual requirements and together with Yoxos we now have very nice solution for those with modelling needs."

Apollo for UML can be integrated for free into a Yoxos distribution and downloaded from the website at www.yoxos.com. Base functionality like roundtrip engineering is immediately available. Exporting functionality can be enabled from within the tool during runtime for as low as 5 EUR per month. Apollo is also available from www.gentleware.com.
