Trenchtown, returns to Lighthouse Cafe on Hermosa Pier, Friday, July 9th with their take on Rock/Reggae/Punk to promote the release of their new album in collaboration with producer, Billy Graziadei, of Biohazard.
Hermosa Beach has provided the ground to give many punk legends the inspiration and platform needed to change the music industry. Remember Black Flag at the “church”? How about predecessors of Pop-Punk, The Descendents or Pennywise who paved the way for great bands such as Green Day and offered Blink 182 touring opportunities in the mid 90s.
Trenchtown, understands the privilege of performing here and is especially proud to have their upcoming CD Release Party in the same historic city. Their blend of Rock is heavily infused with Reggae and Pop creates a unique mix that resembles a “Green Day meets Sublime” mix.
Beginning under the name Maryz Eyez, the band was part of 2 Warped Tours, had 2 top five songs on XM Radio Unsigned Channel, and currently holds a full sponsorship deal with Best Buy providing music gear and electronics.
Trenchtown chose producer, Billy Graziadei, of the band Biohazard for the new EP. At a recent show in Long Beach where Trenchtown was opening for Punk Rock greats Unwritten Law and Death By Stereo, Billy took the stage with the band to perform a few of the new tracks.
To Hermosa Pier regulars, the sound coming from the Lighthouse will not be surprising. Trenchtown has been playing Lighthouse every Friday 4pm-8pm since October of last year. Their residency also continues throughout the summer. All shows are Free and All Ages.
