Three Rubicon Publishing Series Win a Texty Award

Rubicon Publishing is proud to announce that it has received the rare honour of having three of its series tie for a prestigious 2010 Textbook Excellence Award.

St. Petersburg, FL, July 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Rubicon Publishing is proud to announce that it has received the rare honour of having three of its series tie for a prestigious 2010 Textbook Excellence Award.

Rubicon Publishing is being recognized for its BOLDPRINT Graphic Novels, BOLDPRINT Kids Graphic Readers, and Graphic Poetry series. The three series tied for an award in the Elementary and High School Languages and Literature category.

Each series is unique in nature, but they all seek to engage struggling and reluctant readers from elementary school through middle school. The books cater to a contemporary standard of learning by relying on bright graphics while providing compelling information in small, manageable selections. The judges at the Text and Academic Authors Association noted that the series “appeal to a generation which is inclined to appreciate vivid visuals” and that they are “a wonderful way to stimulate readers.”

The Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA) was established in 1987 as a fundamental support for educational authors and the academic community. In 1992, The TAA created The Textbook Excellence Awards to recognize exemplary textbooks and other learning resources. Rubicon Publishing will receive its formal award from the TAA on June 26, 2010, in a ceremony held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
