DirectRooms.com – Moonlight Cinema in Paris starts on 4 August 2010

DirectRooms.com is pleased to announce that the Cinema au Clair de Lune starts on the 4th of August with Les Nuits De La Pleine Lune by Eric Rohmer filmed in 1984. Also featured is the ever popular classic La Bete Humaine by Jean Renoir from 1938 which will be shown on the 7th.

Paris, France, July 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- This year’s festival promises to be a cinema lover’s paradise as the two-week event screen 13 all-time favourites on outdoor screens in a number of arrondissements in Paris. Forum des Images organises the festival and does all the work so that Parisians and tourists alike can just sit back and enjoy the view.

Capping off the festival is La Vie De Chateau by Jean Paul Rappeneau on Saturday the 21st and the contemporary film La Science Des Reves by Michel Gondry which shows on Sunday the 22nd.

As with so many things in Paris the festival is all about not taking things too seriously and the outdoor settings with the natural cinematic backdrops of Paris is a good opportunity for travellers to enjoy good French cinema under the open skies.

Viewers are encouraged to bring picnic goods, including a bottle of good French wine, to enjoy under the moonlight. Even though it is summer evenings can get chilly so viewers are advised to bring a blanket each.

Attending the cinema is free of charge and the various arrondissements in which it will take place are close by most of the cheap Paris hotels so even the budget traveller really has no excuse for staying in. The festival moves from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, allowing tourists to watch their choice of movie without travelling too far.
